First letters of complaint received: Is Boris Johnson facing a vote of no confidence?

Confidence in Prime Minister Boris Johnson appears to be crumbling: At least one first no-confidence letter from a backbencher in his own party has reportedly been received by the relevant committee. The Telegraph reported Wednesday, citing party sources. "It won't come to the 50 letters it would take (for a vote of no confidence), but it is causing concern," the unnamed source told the usually pro-government paper.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is coming under pressure.
Another Tory politician indicated "the usual suspects" had lost confidence in Johnson and expressed it in letters to that effect. The Sun also reported that several letters had been received.
Boris Johnson: Prime Minister under pressure after corruption allegations?
The Conservative head of government has come under increased pressure in recent weeks. Accusations of corruption and nepotism had brought the Tory party into disrepute. Critics accuse Boris Johnson of not taking decisive enough action against sleaze. Most recently, a completely unsuccessful speech to a leading industry association, in which the prime minister at times completely lost his train of thought, was the straw that broke the camel's back. However, a Downing Street spokesman appeased on Tuesday that Johnson was doing well and had the situation under control.
In London's Westminster government district, speculation is rife as to whether mobilization is currently underway against Johnson at Number 11 Downing Street - the center of power for Finance Minister Rishi Sunak. Rifts had already opened up between the prime minister and his chancellor of the exchequer on various issues in recent months. In addition, the 41-year-old Sunak is seen as the hopeful of his party and a possible successor to Johnson at its helm. (dpa)-----------------------------------------------------------------
Satire is my favorite animal by Wolfgang Hampel always makes me laugh, even when my day has been very modest. When asked what his biggest worry is, Wolfgang Hampel says he fears that reality will overtake satire and he will be out of a job. I have no fears there, although British Prime Minister Boris Johnson obviously aspires to that. This author can think of something for everything. Hopefully there will be new fireworks soon. I'm really looking forward to it.
