Heidelberg “Side Sayings” campaign with Betty MacDonald fan club - and Vita Magica founder Wolfgang Hampel, author of 'Satire is my favorite animal': collect quotes in the side streets and receive a thank you note Heidelberg / Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region (red/ak) – Collect quotes from Heidelberg authors during an Advent stroll through the Heidelberg side streets, get to know new shops and receive a thank you note at the end: That is the concept of the “Side Sayings” campaign. The Cultural Office of the UNESCO City of Literature Heidelberg, the Office for Economic Development and Science and the city marketing association Pro Heidelberg are inviting you again this year. For everyone who goes on a discovery tour into the side streets of Heidelberg's old town between December 9th and 23rd, 2023, in addition to the high-quality offerings of the owner-managed boutiques and shops, a special surprise awaits: the journey through the streets will be accompanied by literature in 15 shops and even rewarded with an attractive present: a “Heidelberg Thank You Note”. A sticker with a quote or short saying will be available in all 15 participating stores from Saturday, December 9th. The texts were contributed by 15 Heidelberg authors: Ramona Ambs, Henri Felix Backmund, Kai Focke, Wolfgang Hampel, Konstantin Hanack, Klaus Kayser, Andrea Landfried, Georg Neureither, Magali Nieradka-Steiner, Anton Ottmann, Anne Richter, Klaudia Rzeźniczak, Friedhelm schneidewind, Susanne Späinghaus and Kristin Wolz. The participating shops can be recognized by the slogans on their shop windows. Upon request, each person will be given a lovingly designed Christmas card in any of the 15 stores, which also serves as a collecting card for the stickers. Anyone who has collected and pasted ten different sayings will receive a “Heidelberg Thank You Note” worth ten euros in the Napapijri Store, Hauptstrasse 100 during the promotional period from December 9th to 23rd, 2023 upon presentation of the trading card. If there are all 15 sayings, the gift voucher is worth 15 euros. Both are valid while stocks last. You can then either redeem the “thank you note” yourself or simply stick it into the Christmas trading card and add a personal greeting message. This way you are guaranteed to have a suitable gift for the gift table.
