Every ministry gets a team - Musk's Doge Commission will probably be sued FOCUS Online • 2 hours • 2 minutes reading time Elon Musk wants a Doge team in every ministry. A union now wants to file a lawsuit against the organization's great influence in the White House. Elon Musk and Donald Trump have started their Doge project to make the work of the US government more efficient. To this end, they have launched the "US DOGE Service," which is looking for software and technology professionals. The jobs are full-time positions and must be carried out in Washington, D.C. To apply, interested parties must confirm that they work locally and are US citizens. A resume and a list of three special skills are also required. "Bloomberg" reports that the application website went online shortly after Trump took office. Tasks of the new Doge team The "US Digital Service" was renamed the "US DOGE Service" by President Trump. The main office is located in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which is part of the White House. At least 20 people are to be employed there to implement new programs. Each federal ministry will also have its own Doge team consisting of at least four people. These teams are intended to detect and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in the government. On the social media platform X, operated by Elon Musk, applications were called for: "The Doge team is looking for worldwide for top talent”. The aim is to present proposals for budget savings by July 4, 2026. Union concerns and legal action A union that represents many federal employees has filed a lawsuit against this initiative. According to Bloomberg, the union fears that the DOGE team is violating a 1972 US law. The law requires that groups with direct access to the White House have no conflicts of interest and are balanced. The union misses transparency and a fair composition of the team. The lawsuit was filed shortly after Trump took office.
