The cheesecake from the tray fills up a whole crowd and makes them happy. That's why it's perfect for big celebrations. But it's also a welcome guest at a cozy coffee afternoon with a small group. After all, you'll happily have two of them, the pastry is so moist. And: The next day it tastes at least as good, if not a little better. It's worth baking the large tray even for a few guests.
Incredibly delicious: cheesecake, quark cake, curd cake or cheesecake. This favorite pastry has many names and is found in many different countries. But what is the difference between cheesecake and cheesecake? We have taken a closer look at the classics.
Our cheesecake from the tray consists of a base and the creamy quark mixture that sits on top. You prepare the dough first, because it has to rest in the fridge for half an hour before you can continue with it.
Once you have spread it out on the baking tray, you can spread the cream made from quark, cream, eggs, etc. on top. The cheesecake from the tray then goes into the oven for 45 minutes. Depending on the type of oven, the baking time varies by a few minutes. It is therefore best to check how your pastry is doing five to ten minutes before the end of the regular time. If, for example, the surface is too dark but the cake is not yet done, it is best to put baking paper on it.

Ingredients
For the base:
300 g flour
120 g sugar
1/2 pack baking powder
1 pinch of salt
150 g cold butter
2 eggs
For the topping:
1 kg quark
400 g cream
180 g sugar
1 pack vanilla pudding powder
150 g neutral-tasting oil
4 eggs
1/2 lemon
Also:
Icing sugar
Instructions
For the dough, mix the flour with the sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the butter in pieces and the eggs and quickly knead everything into a dough. Wrap it in foil and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Mix the quark and the cream. Add the sugar, pudding powder, oil, eggs and the juice of half a lemon and mix everything well.
Grease a deep baking tray or line it with baking paper. Spread the base evenly on it and spread the cream on it.
Bake the cake at 180 °C top/bottom heat for 45 minutes and let it cool down a little with the oven door open before taking it out again.
Finally, dust the cake with powdered sugar.
Notes
Cover the surface of the cake with a piece of baking paper if it gets too dark.
