Volodymyr Selenskyj: Trump: Selenskyj should not have allowed the war

The new US President Donald Trump has blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj for the excesses of the Russian war of aggression. "He should not have allowed this to happen either. He is not an angel. He should not have allowed this war," Trump told Fox News in an interview.
Trump did not say that Selenskyj should have capitulated. But he phrased it as if he were accusing the president of getting involved in a fight against a clearly superior opponent. "He shouldn't have done that."
Trump: Zelensky wanted to fight
The alternative? A "deal" could have been made, said Trump, adding: "I could have made a deal so easily. And Zelensky decided that... 'I want to fight'."
Russia had 30,000 tanks, Zelensky had none. Then the USA and its allies started to supply more and more equipment - and the Ukrainians had the courage to use it.
During the election campaign, Trump said he could end the Russian war of aggression in 24 hours - but failed to provide details on how he wanted to achieve this. He repeated that the war must end and again threatened Russia with sanctions and tariffs. Zelensky was ready for an agreement. "He's had enough."
