Donald Trump: Did Elon Musk manipulate the election for him? Uproar over crazy Trump statement
During a speech by Donald Trump, his opponents' ears are ringing. On stage, "The Don" loudly explains how well his confidant Elon Musk knows these "computers for counting votes". Is the new US president alluding to election fraud?
Donald Trump is the new US president
What is behind this confused Trump statement?
Is "The Don" talking about election fraud by Elon Musk?
It is well known that Donald Trump loves to polarize with his statements. But he is not so keen on making concrete plans and announcements. He maneuvered his way through the election campaign and into the White House by making sometimes bold promises. Just think of his statement that he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office. In a speech, Trump caused a stir with a remark that should definitely be questioned.
Donald Trump: What is behind this crazy statement?
Donald Trump received support, not only financially, from tech billionaire Elon Musk during the election campaign. In return, Musk was given a special task - he was supposed to check the USA's budget costs for savings potential. But how else could Musk have been of service to the new US president? A statement by Trump is now causing a stir. At a rally before Trump's inauguration, "The Don" said on camera about Elon Musk:
"He knows these computers better than anyone else. All these computers. These computers for counting votes. And in the end we won Pennsylvania by a landslide."

Donald Trump: Is he talking about election fraud by Elon Musk?
What Donald Trump wanted to say with this remains unclear - he himself did not comment on it. However, the lines caused quite a stir online. There was quick speculation as to whether Trump was alluding to possible election fraud by Elon Musk. The reactions online, at least among Trump opponents, speak volumes:
"At a certain point, you don't have the words to express these unprecedented events in the USA. A convicted criminal, notorious liar, surrounded by conspiracy theorists and oligarchs who have taken power."
"In how many other countries has Musk perhaps changed a few things with all his computers? Trump just can't keep his mouth shut. He constantly has to confess something."
"There's nothing to see here. Just Donny admitting that Elon manipulated the voting machines."
"Whoa... Seems like a strange way to phrase that. Kind of suspicious..."
What speaks against Trump's alleged election fraud confession
But why would Trump talk about his own alleged election fraud - after all, he himself would be the one to suffer? Or did he unwittingly let something slip? That also seems unlikely. When it comes to protecting himself, Trump usually seems cautious. He probably just wanted to attract attention - especially in Musk's presence. As he often does.
