Is Trump losing because of Taylor Swift? Dramatic development in swing states

The West Is Trump losing because of Taylor Swift? Dramatic development in swing states Article by Henrik Jonathan Zinn • 1 hour • 2 minutes reading time The first TV duel between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris has ushered in the hot phase of the US election campaign. Trump drew attention to himself with some absurd scenes. His statement about foreigners eating pets in particular caused ridicule. It is therefore not surprising that Harris emerged as the winner of the duel. Now there is more bad news for Trump. Donald Trump could lose ground in the swing states - because of Taylor Swift. This is related to the political views of global star Taylor Swift. Immediately after the TV duel, the 34-year-old took a stand and came out as a Harris supporter. She wants the USA to be led with calm "and not chaos" - and that can only be done with the Democrat. In that Instagram post, she once again called on her 283 million followers to vote. Every single vote against Donald Trump would protect democracy. She especially calls on young people to take responsibility: "I have researched and made my choice. Now it is up to you to inform yourselves and cast your vote. I would also like to say especially to first-time voters: Remember to register to be able to vote!" Recent figures from the election organization Vote.org now show that Swift's words could have a big impact. CNN reports this. According to the figures, 52,222 people have registered to vote via the platform since then. A further 144,243 people have had their registration status confirmed. There has been a lot of movement, especially in the contested swing states, which traditionally do not belong to any party and can therefore be decisive in the election. After the call, the status quo in the swing states changed as follows: Arizona: 1,187 newly registered voters, 3,399 confirmed registrations Georgia: 2,124 newly registered voters, 6,939 confirmed registrations Michigan: 1,062 newly registered voters, 3,318 confirmed registrations North Carolina: 2,213 newly registered voters, 5,918 confirmed registrations Nevada: 580 newly registered voters, 1,360 confirmed registrations Pennsylvania: 2,127 newly registered voters, 5,283 confirmed registrations Wisconsin: 1,350 newly registered voters, 1,799 confirmed registrations Harris and Trump have so far courted the young electorate in vain, as their interest in voting has been steadily declining in recent months. Swift's words may have now heralded a turnaround – a reversal that could turn out to be a disadvantage for Donald Trump.
