Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK Party and avowed Trump supporter.
Nigel Farage is actually a close ally of US President Donald Trump. Now, surprisingly, he has criticized him: Russia is getting too much in the Ukraine peace negotiations.
Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK Party and a prominent supporter of Donald Trump, criticized the peace negotiations in the Ukraine war. According to Farage, Russia is getting "far too much" from the US. According to Politico, he emphasized: "It is right to demand peace, but we cannot have a peace where Putin emerges victorious." Farage is under domestic pressure, especially from the Labour Party, which describes him as pro-Russia. He had previously stated that NATO and the EU share responsibility for the Ukraine war.
Will Kyiv get its old territories back?
Under the Trump administration, the US ruled out NATO membership for Ukraine and the inclusion of US peacekeepers in the country. It has also been suggested that Kyiv will not get back the territories captured by Russia. This worries Farage. "We want a peace agreement," he declared, according to HuffPost. "Of course, everyone wants a peace agreement, but it has to be fair." Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet agreed to the 30-day ceasefire.
Trump Becomes More Outspoken
Trump has repeatedly been accused of repeating Kremlin propaganda and criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky too harshly. Trump has since slightly toughened his stance toward Putin, accusing Russia of delaying negotiations.
