Mathilda, we enjoyed St. Lucia's day very much.

This will be a very special Betty MacDonald Christmas surprise.

Reading Mary Bard Jensen's  letters with several family pics and new ones of  beloved Gammy will be a wonderful Christmas gift.

Betty MacDonald, Mary Bard Jensen and whole Bard family celebrated Christmas in an unique way.

I don't know whether Betty MacDonald and Mary Bard Jensen ever  heard of swedish artist and author Carl Larsson.

It's such  a great combination looking at Carl Larsson's artwork and reading Betty MacDonald's Christmas stories a the same time or listening to Wolfgang Hampel's unique Betty MacDonald interviews.

One of my favourites are Betty MacDonald's Nancy and Plum and Carl Larsson's artwork 'Britta with candles and apples' and Wolfgang Hampel's  very funny interview with Betty MacDonald's sister Alison Bard Burnett.

I wonder how does Mr.Tigerli celebrate Christmas?

Hoping he'll be able to find a better personal assistant than the former one.

Bea and Yaroslav, I'd like to join Betty MacDonald and Mary Bard Jensen  fan club research team.

My mother sent several letters to Betty MacDonald and her sister Mary Bard Jensen.

As Christmas was always very important in our family mother wanted to know everything about Christmas celebration in the Bard family.

Mother got very interesting letters and photos from Betty and Mary.

You can see really huge  Christmas trees, decoration, family, gifts, cards and much more.

Our family loves Christmas as much as Betty MacDonald, Mary Bard Jensen and Alison Bard Burnett.

We adore the delightful Christmas stories Alison Bard Burnett shares in her interviews with Wolfgang Hampel.

Sister Dede is wonderful in Alison Bard Burnett's  memories.

Don't laugh about me, please.

I know very well  I shouldn't talk so much about Christmas in November  but I have to tell you some golden Christmas stories in Betty MacDonald fan club newsletter December.

It includes several photos with Betty MacDonald and family including her cats and dogs ( do you remember Betty MacDonald's favourite dog Tudor?) under huge Christmas trees.

Betty loved huge Christmas trees. So do I and our three children.
My husband don't. He always says: Little Christmas trees are so nice.
Poor Daddy has no chance because we are shouting: We need a huge one - the same size we had last year.

What about you?

Our November was very dry and sunny with lots of roses and other flowers.
Just the opposite Betty MacDonald described November in THE EGG AND I.
