Against "hate": Green minister duo filed 1,300 criminal complaints through their ministries

Apollo News 11/15/2024 Against "hate": Green minister duo filed 1,300 criminal complaints through their ministries A Bundestag inquiry reveals the mass of complaints by federal ministers. Robert Habeck and Annalena Baerbock alone have filed over 1,300 complaints through their ministries. Most of these were about alleged insults on the Internet. Like to report citizens: Federal Ministers Annalena Baerbock and Robert Habeck Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Robert Habeck has caused a stir nationwide with his criminal complaint against 64-year-old Stefan Niehoff. He is said to have insulted Habeck by reposting an "idiot" meme on X (formerly Twitter). After Habeck filed a criminal complaint, the police searched the pensioner's house in the Haßberge district on Tuesday. Little by little, the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs's rage for litigation is becoming more and more apparent. For example, he has recently started working with the warning portal "So Done". This uses AI to search the internet for alleged hate comments against the Green politician (Apollo News reported). But that is not the worst accusation against Habeck in this context. A small request from the AfD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag revealed the extent of criminal charges filed by federal ministers against private citizens due to insults or other trivialities. In its response of August 22, the federal government broke down the number of criminal charges by the end of August by ministries. The absolute leader among the ministries, at least when it comes to criminal charges against citizens, is Robert Habeck's Ministry of Economic Affairs. In his role as Federal Minister of Economic Affairs, Habeck has filed a total of 805 criminal charges since the beginning of the legislative period. He only reported insults and threats. The federal government has little knowledge of the status of the investigations. All it knows is that in some cases the proceedings have been discontinued. Annalena Baerbock's Foreign Ministry comes behind Habeck's Ministry of Economic Affairs. In a total of 513 cases, she filed criminal charges for insults or threats. Here, too, the status of the investigation is mostly unknown. While some ministries have not filed any charges at all during the legislative period, such as the Federal Ministry of Finance, others are very happy and often take legal action against the unwelcome statements. While Habeck and Baerbock's number of criminal charges is in the high three-digit range, the other ministries are still lagging far behind. Nevertheless, the Federal Ministry of Justice, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and others filed dozens of criminal charges against private individuals during the legislative period.
