A Moroccan model who regularly attended former Italian Prime
Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s raunchy “bunga-bunga” sex parties died this
month — and investigators are now probing the case as a possible
murder.
Imane Fadil, 33, died at a Milan Hospital on March 1, a month after she was admitted for stomach pains, the BBC reported.
The model claimed to friends and her lawyer that she had been poisoned, according to the report.
In 2012, Fadil testified at Berlusconi’s trial, in which he was accused of paying for sex with an underage prostitute.
During one hearing, Fadil recounted coming to a party at Berlusconi’s villa near Milan for the first time, where she saw strippers dressed in nun costumes and soccer jerseys performing for the prime minister.
Imane Fadil said Berlusconi paid her 2,000 euros — nearly $2,300 — that night.
Back in May 2010, a 17-year-old exotic nightclub dancer, Karima “Ruby” El Mahroug, left police custody in Milan after Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi called surprised officials to say that the teen should be released because she was the granddaughter of the Egyptian president.
El Mahroug — who was held for suspected theft and also was said to have attended the bunga-bunga parties — was released into the care of one of the prime minister’s associates.
Berlusconi was found guilty of paying the dancer for sex, as well as abuse of power, in June 2013, the BBC reported. His case was ultimately overturned a year later.
