Trump Says New York Times Is ‘Wrong!’ on His Television Habits

WASHINGTON — President Trump pushed back against a recent New York Times article on Monday, saying in a Twitter post that he does not watch four to eight hours of television each day.

Mr. Trump was reacting to an article on Saturday that provided an inside look at the president’s typical day, describing how he watches television at least four hours a day and sometimes twice that amount, usually starting his day watching CNN or MSNBC.

A spokeswoman for The Times, Danielle Rhodes Ha, rejected the idea that the article was false.

“We stand by our reporting, sourced from interviews with 60 advisers, associates, friends and members of Congress, including many who interact with President Trump every day,” she said.

The president’s comments come after a weekend of Twitter posts from him about other media outlets publishing “fake news” in which he argued that “correct reporting” means nothing to the news media.
