Women in the US election 2024
US election 2024 causes Trump allies to freak out: Are wives secretly voting for Harris?
Republican US presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump closes his eyes as Pastor Paula White and other faith leaders pray for him during the National Faith Summit at Worship With Wonders Church in Powder Springs, Georgia.
A commercial reminds women ahead of the 2024 US election that they can vote freely and secretly. Prominent MAGA men react angrily.
Washington, D.C. - MAGA men in the USA are outraged. The trigger is a simple commercial from a liberal Christian organization in which actress Julia Roberts reminds women that they can vote freely and secretly in the US election: "You can vote however you want and no one will ever know."
This seems to be particularly relevant for women who are married to men who do not simply accept their wives' decisions. The outrage over the video seems to confirm this assumption. The reaction of the MAGA men speaks volumes.
Voting for Kamala Harris in the 2024 US election would be "like an affair" for Fox presenter
One of them is Jesse Waters. In an episode of "The Five," the presenter of the conservative TV channel Fox News gave vent to his anger: "If I found out that Emma went into the voting booth and pushed the lever for Harris, that would be the same as an affair," said Watters. "For me, that is a violation of the sanctity of our marriage. What else is she hiding from me? What else has she lied about?"
His co-presenter Jeanine Pirro followed up: "Why would she lie to you? Did you threaten her?" Watters' answer came promptly: "Why would she do that and then vote for Harris? Why would she say she was for Trump and then vote for Harris? And I caught her and then she says, 'I've been lying to you for the last four years.'"
"So you admit that you're intimidating people," Pirro countered. "It's over, Emma!" Watters affirmed. "That would be D-Day!"
Trump activist finds it appalling that women are voting for Harris in the 2024 US election
Right-wing activist Charlie Kirk is also outraged. In a conversation with former Fox News presenter Megyn Kelly, he expressed his anger that many women are voting for Harris - and leaving their husbands in the dark. "It's so disgusting. It's so catastrophic," Kirk said. "It embodies the downfall of the American family. I find it so disgusting. I just find it so disgusting."
He had previously complained on the online platform X. "There are a disproportionate number of women participating in early voting," he wrote. "If the men stay home, Kamala is president. It's that simple." And then a misogynistic comment followed: "If you want to know what the future looks like, don't vote, just imagine Kamala's constant cackling."
Harris hopes that a high proportion of women will give her an advantage over Trump in the 2024 US election
In fact, women are particularly motivated to vote in this year's US election. The early voting data clearly shows that more women than men voted. Although these numbers should not be confused with the final results and Harris and Trump are still neck and neck in polls, there is data that confirms Republicans' concerns.
In the swing state of Pennsylvania, more than 1.6 million people have already cast their votes, according to NBC News, 56 percent of whom were women. This is roughly the same as the data from 2020. But this time something is different. Trump has encouraged his supporters to vote before the actual election day on November 5th. The gap between Democrats and Republicans is therefore barely there anymore, but it is there between women and men.
Right-wing influencer fears Trump defeat against Harris in 2024 US election
The right-wing influencer Mike Cernovich put it in a nutshell. "The male voter turnout in Pennsylvania for Trump is a disaster," he wrote on X. "If that doesn't change, Kamala Harris will win.
