Event Information
Description
Hey Santa! Saturday December 15th over 2,000 of us will be parading through the Downtown Seattle area! Join us as we paint the town red and white for 14 hours! SantaCon
is an annual mass gathering of people dressed in Santa Claus costumes
parading publicly on streets and inside locations in cities around the
world. The focus is on spontaneity and creativity, while having a good
time and spreading cheer and goodwill. This is much more than a pub
crawl, and every time you call it that, a sugar plum fairy dies!
WE NEED YOU TO SPREAD THE CHEER!

2. Use hashtag #seattlesantacon or post photos on our event wall for the costume contest!
3. Registration is required for entry to most venues and drink specials, and supports our charity of choice, Boys and Girls Clubs of King County! (more details below)4. Get wristbands from SantaCon staff wearing blue carrying blue bags! Find them near the entrance of most venues during the times on the schedule!
5. Have your registration confirmation ready on your phone or print it to keep things speedy. You can arrive anytime!
THE RULES!!

1. My name is Santa. Your name is Santa. We are Santa. Who's in charge here? Santa!
2. Santa will bring cash and tip! No cards! No complex orders! Lines can be long, so keep it quick!
3. Wear a Santa suit! Be an elf! Or reindeer! Get in the holiday spirit. Wearing just a Santa hat with regular clothes is boring. And wear comfy shoes. Santa is covering lots of ground.
4. SantaCon is a participatory event. Entertain us! Bring something Santa will enjoy: candy, games, performances, signs, music, or a costume that will wow us!
5. Expect lines. Santa will have fun while waiting or find another spot nearby. Don't wait in lines that don't move!
6. Santa obeys the law. Santa doesn't drink in public or smoke in parks.
7. Pace yourself, Santa. Know your limits. Remember to eat!
8. Santa doesn't drink and drive!
9. Santa doesn't mess with kids, the police, businesses, or Santa!
10. Use the event wall for the costume contest and #SeattleSantaCon on Instagram!

Because we don't have a single venue that can accomodate us all at once, we're doing a photo based costume contest online! Want to enter yourself or someone else? Post a photo on our Facebook event page or use Instagram hashtag #seattlesantacon! After the event is over we'll determine the winners on the Facebook event page. Prizes to be announced!
CHARITY: BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF KING COUNTY!

This year SantaCon will be benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of King County! This 501(c)3 non-profit works to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens by providing out-of-school support for academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship. Boys & Girls Clubs of King County serves over 15,000 youth from "cradle to career" (ages 3 to 18 years) annually, in 30 Clubs throughout the region. A portion of proceeds from our ticket sales will be donated, and there is a direct donation option as well. For more info on Boys & Girls Clubs of King County please see https://positiveplace.org/.

Day of event: $20 (we strongly recommend registering earlier than this)
Registration is required again this year (a) to help us accurately plan for capacity across our multiple venues for this growing event, (b) to help benefit a great charity, and (c) to help with our growing expenses. Yes these events used to be free, but they used to be a fraction of the size and work too. Register and you'll get free entry to all our venues during designated times, live entertainment, and drink specials at many venues throughout the day! There will also be some giveaways during the day, and an online costume contest with great prizes! OTHER IMPORTANT INFO!!

SantaCon staff will be wearing blue - blue Santa hats, blue bags, and mostly blue clothing! Get your wristband from them at venues during the times on the schedule. Have your confirmation, QR code, or other proof of purchase ready on your phone, or have it printed, or have your name and email ready for them to look up.
