The count of cases and deaths is a moving target, with jurisdictions reporting sometimes-contradictory numbers. Ours might not match what other media are reporting.
• 8,682 cases statewide (394 fatalities). These numbers do not always include the latest county data below.
• 1,659 cases in Snohomish County (61 fatalities) which are confirmed or presumed positive, and 83 cases that are probable.
— 101 people in Snohomish County are hospitalized, 169 are isolated at home or in long-term care, 0 are isolated or quarantined and 844 people have recovered.
— 27 Snohomish County cases are related in some way to the Life Care Center nursing home in Kirkland — presumably patients, employees or visitors.
— 25 Snohomish County cases are related in some way to Josephine Caring Community in Stanwood.
— 48 Snohomish County cases are related in some way to Sunrise View Assisted Living in Everett.

• Governor Inslee extended a stay-home order to May 4.
• The governor ordered all bars, restaurants, entertainment and recreation facilities closed starting March 17. He also revised a ban on events to prohibit gatherings of 50 or more people. He later extended the order to May 4.
• Schools: The governor on March 12 ordered all public and private elementary and secondary schools closed for six weeks. He later extended the closure to June 19. … The University of Washington, Everett Community College and other colleges will complete their terms with extensive online teaching.
