Drama about steakhouse heiress – Christina Block: Children were not listened to

Berlin courier Drama about steakhouse heiress – Christina Block: Children were not listened to Article by bk/dr • 5 hours Steakhouse heiress Christina Block is fighting for her children. What is the drama about the steakhouse heiress' children actually about? That is the question that all of Germany is asking itself. Because despite everything that is known about the custody dispute with all its terrible consequences, one thing seems to be completely ignored: What do the children actually want? The fact is: On New Year's Eve, the children of steakhouse heiress Christina Block and her ex-husband Stefan H., Klara (13) and Theo (10) were kidnapped in Denmark. The children's father had previously been knocked down. The children then reappeared in Germany – with their mother. This was preceded by a years-long custody battle over the children. In 2021, father Stefan H. did not give the children back after a dad weekend and kept them in Denmark. A German court had granted the mother the right to determine her place of residence, but the Danish authorities did not implement this. It was only after the kidnapping drama on New Year's Eve that the court's opinion changed. Suddenly the children were supposed to live with their father and were brought back to Denmark. Reason: It believes “that a return of the children to their father is currently best suited to the well-being of the children”. Because the children have had their father's center of life for two and a half years. But also because they were torn from their local environment “under extremely stressful circumstances”. It's a tug of war over two young people - just 10 and 13 years old - who should actually have a carefree childhood. But their parents deny them this. Father Stefan H. augments that the children are exposed to violence from their mother. However, the authorities in Germany don't see it that way. However, what the authorities apparently don't (want to) see is how the children are doing, what the children want. At least that's what Christina Block says in an interview with Bild. “I never thought that my children would be taken, without being heard, to the father who previously illegally withheld the children,” says. “The courts have clearly ruled that he has to return them. And he never followed through.” According to reports from the mother, an employee of the youth welfare office and an LKA officer examined Klara and Theodor in Germany on January 3rd. They are said to have neither been depressed nor had teary eyes. That would be in the protocol. A day later, an employee from the youth welfare office spoke and played with the children again. On January 5th, the Hamburg Higher Regional Court made its decision: The children must be returned to their father. Family lawyers drive Klara and Theo back to Denmark. The youth welfare office is said not to have been heard by the higher regional court before it made its decision. So it doesn't seem to be about what the children want at all.
