Donald Trump: Bizarre Statements by the President - "What the Hell is That?"

Donald Trump once again irritates with a telephone interview and digresses.
Donald Trump apparently wasn't listening very carefully during a public Q&A session in which he participated by telephone – or is there another explanation for the bizarre jumble of his answers? At a so-called NewsNation town hall, the former US president suddenly linked his criticism of Harvard to alleged protests in Harlem. A faux pas that quickly sparked ridicule and confusion online.
Harvard instead of "Harlem" - Donald Trump irritates with incoherent answer
Donald Trump has publicly criticized the nation's universities in the past. In particular, the renowned Harvard University is said to be making significant cuts to its curriculum. An important aspect that was again discussed during a public Q&A session. However, Donald Trump's explanations here are likely somewhat misguided. Instead of a direct answer, however, the president began with a confusing anecdote about "alleged protests in Harlem."
Trump's statements confuse viewers - What does this mean?
"We had riots in Harlem, in Harlem, and if you look at what happened, people from Harlem went up and protested," Trump surprisingly explained. "And they protested very strongly against Harvard. They happened to be on my side," "Raw Story," among others, quotes the president's crude statements.
And it gets even more convoluted. Instead of Harvard and Trump's criticism of established universities, there follows a brief digression about how the 78-year-old is extremely popular among the black population. "You know, I have a very high Black vote share. You know that. A very, very high Black vote share. That was a very high compliment," the president added during his rambling remark.
One thing is clear: The connection between his criticism of Harvard, the alleged protests in Harlem, and his approval ratings among Black voters remained completely unclear to his listeners. Trump's rambling response seemed to follow no logical train of thought and left many observers perplexed as to what the president was actually trying to convey.
US President Becomes a Laugh Online: "This Man's Brain Is Cooked"
Trump's confusing statements immediately triggered numerous critical reactions on social media. Republican pollster Sarah Longwell asked "X": "What the hell is that? Our president's brain is mashed potatoes."
Political observer Elika Sadeghi went a step further, commenting: "This man's brain is completely cooked." Activist Armand Domalewski wrote on the short message platform "X": "Trump somehow hallucinated that people rioted in Harlem to support his crackdown on Harvard?!?"
What exactly Trump meant with his rather difficult-to-explain digression will likely remain a mystery. In any case, Trump's statements once again sparked mocking comments online.
