US stock markets lose momentum: Wall Street is getting impatient with Trump

Three weeks after Trump took office, some conclusions can be drawn: The markets are reacting to Trump's decrees and tariff threats with a shrug rather than concern. The S&P 500 is almost at the same level as when Trump took office, the Dow Jones is slightly up, while the Nasdaq has fallen by about 1 percent. The dollar has strengthened slightly. One thing is clear: resistance to Trump's government and its decisions is growing.
Resistance to Trump is growingThe political opposition has formed against Tesla boss Elon Musk, who is supposed to cut spending and lay off civil servants en masse. Courts have already blocked initial measures against this. Democratic politicians such as Chuck Schumer and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accuse Musk of a "hostile takeover of the government" without a democratic mandate. Some even speak of an ongoing coup.
