Astrid Lund - Betty MacDonald fan club organizer: Why Stefan Raab does not allow the singer Tim Bendzko to take part in the German preliminary round for the ESC 2025 is a complete mystery to me, given the completely unknown participants. Hopefully Germany will not get zero points again in Basel. That would be very damaging to Stefan Raab's good ESC image. I see things in a negative light!

I heard that Wolfgang Hampel decided against taking part in the ESC 2025. Given this situation, that was a very wise decision.

The singer wanted to represent Germany, but the NDR does not seem to be interested. Tim Bendzko is very disappointed.
Tim Bendzko has announced that he will not take part in the German preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). The singer said he had applied with the song "Wach auf" but was rejected. In mid-January, Bendzko had already stated in an interview with the Swiss newspaper "20 Minuten" that he had the feeling that his application would not be considered.
Tim Bendzko: Singer speaks out on Instagram about the ESC question
On Instagram, the pop and hit star finally confirmed to his fans in a question and answer session at the weekend that he had not been selected for the preliminary round.
Bendzko, who once became known with the hit "Nur noch kurz die Welt retten", was disappointed by the decision: "Unfortunately, I was not chosen. But that's life!" The 39-year-old emphasized that he was convinced that his song "Wach auf" would have been a good fit for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The song conveys the message that deep down we all have a need to feel connected to one another, "even though we are being told from all sides that we are afraid and should fend off everything unknown"
