Stefan Raab: Harsh words from Oliver Pocher - "It's not such a success story"

Moin.de Stefan Raab: Harsh words from Oliver Pocher - "It's not such a success story" Alina Effertz • 2 hours • 2 minutes reading time They are two greats of German television and at first glance have little in common. Since his spectacular comeback last year, Stefan Raab has been on everyone's lips. The entertainer has returned with several shows, and these days he is looking for this year's "ESC" talent together with a top-class jury to represent us in Sweden. The current media presence of the former "TV total" star has polarized again and again in recent weeks. Cult comedian Oliver Pocher is also critical of the 58-year-old's comeback. In an interview, Amira Aly's ex-partner now has clear words to say about Stefan Raab's return to German television. Stefan Raab has to take criticism In the past, Stefan Raab and Oliver Pocher seemed to have a friendly relationship. The celebrity duo hosted joint formats and Raab was even involved in the comedian's production company. But those times seem to be a thing of the past once and for all. Only the two entertainers themselves know the exact reason for this. One thing is clear, however: there is bad blood. In an interview with "Bild", Oliver Pocher now rants: "I am disappointed with the kind of shows he does. Almost the same as before. Now the poker night and the ESC are coming again. I have the impression that Stefan did this not out of passion, but out of pure destructive rage. It is against his old broadcaster ProSieben, against his old production company, it is against his old show 'TV total'. He seems obsessed with harming them." But it gets even worse... Because the comedian is certain: "My prediction is that Raab will no longer be on RTL in a year. It is not the kind of success story that they want to sell us. At some point, someone at Bertelsmann who has nothing to do with entertainment but rather with a calculator will ask two questions. How much did it cost? How much did we earn from it? And then it will be buried.” Oliver Pocher is also critical of Stefan Raab’s pet project “ESC is a matter for the boss”. The 46-year-old confirms: “The ESC has changed a lot, it needs a lot more. I doubt that it will work.” The celebrities only met recently, Oliver Pocher reports: “A week ago we were standing together in the elevator to the box at 1. FC Cologne. Stefan preferred not to stand in a room with me for twelve seconds. He took the stairs. Stefan is the most shy person behind the camera. He simply ignores you, looks right through you. He doesn’t even want you to say hello.” The entertainer certainly hadn’t expected these harsh words from his colleague. Stefan Raab and Oliver Pocher are probably not going to be friends anymore. It remains to be seen whether the entertainer will respond to the comedian’s allegations.
