"Court jester" insult by Olaf Scholz against Joe Chialo: Ahmad Mansour speaks of his experiences

Berliner Zeitung "Court jester" insult by Olaf Scholz against Joe Chialo: Ahmad Mansour speaks of his experiences chg • 5 hours • 1 minute reading time After his "court jester" remark to the black CDU culture senator Joe Chialo, Chancellor Olaf Scholz continues to deny the accusations of racism. In the Spiegel "top-level discussion", Scholz said he was "shocked" when he saw the reporting. "You can accuse me of anything, but certainly not that I'm a racist." He never linked the "court jester" remark to Chialo's skin color. The accusation affected him "personally very much". He respects Chialo and regrets if he took the statement to himself. "I just didn't say what was reported." In a Focus report, Scholz is accused of having called Chialo a fig leaf for the CDU because of his skin color. The Chancellor denies this. He has also called other people "court jesters". However, this does not seem to be the first time that members of the SPD have used inappropriate language during the election campaign. The Arab-Palestinian author Ahmad Mansour reports on X about bad experiences with social democrats. Mansour is close to the FDP. In recent years, SPD members have called him an "Uncle Tom Arab" and a "house Arab". Ahmad Mansour did not, however, say who he meant by this and what situation.
