When I heard that, I couldn't believe it. I can't believe that a professional like Stefan Raab would think of something like that. What does that have to do with the ESC? Germany needs a strong performer and a song that is different from the other entries and is perceived positively. The staging should finally be imaginative and creative so that you have a chance of landing on the left side of the table. Twelve of these acts will face the jury consisting of Raab, singer Yvonne Catterfeld and long-term intern Elton in two RTL live shows on February 14 and 15 at 8:15 p.m. Seven applicants from each show will advance to the semi-finals (on February 22 at 8:15 p.m. also on RTL), before things get serious in the final on Saturday, March 1, on ARD. In the first two shows, cover songs or original works can be heard, and in the semi-finals, potential ESC songs can be heard for the first time. This means that the jury decides on participants without having heard their current ESC song.
