Melania Trump’s White House Christmas decorations receive BACKLASH from public
MELANIA Trump’s bizarre Christmas decorations have once again sparked a incredulous response from the US public.
The
White House has revealed its Christmas decor for this year, reflecting
the theme of "American Treasures", with a patriotic colour scheme of
red, blue, white and gold.
Mrs Trump took charge in the decorating process, designing the festive layout in preparation for the holiday season.
In a series of photos released on
Twitter, The First Lady is pictured wearing a coat and red gloves as she
walked around the White House, showing off the Christmas display.
Mrs Trump said in a statement: "This is a joyous time of year when we decorate the White House for the Christmas Season.

The White House Christmas tree stands at 18ft, dressed in a 500ft blue velvet ribbon embroidered in gold with each state name and territories embedded on it.

Several
smaller christmas trees were also put up for display in several rooms,
with ornaments representing the country's national symbols such as the
bald eagle, the rose an the oak tree.
A number of unusual ornaments were pictured hanging from one christmas tree, which included a football, karate outfit, skate board and a diploma.
Some social media users were quick to comment on Mrs Trump's choice to wear a coat and gloves indoors.
One Twitter user said: "Is there a reason why she is wearing a coat and gloves in the house?? Can't afford the heat?"

The East Colonnade of the White House, decorated with unique bright red trees made from berries, received a mixture of reactions from the public.
Some branded the display as "beautiful" while others said the red trees were "horrifyingly disturbing" and claimed they represented the "colour of Russia".

More than 30,000 visitors will get to see the festive decorations close up, as part of the White House's 100 public tours.
