Story
UPDATE;
we had to raise the amount we need, and added another month, the
storage yard manager (who lives in Oregon) is breathing down our neck
again, we can't gain access to the yard (and our stuff) unless we pay
more money this month, THEN she will let us in there so we can sell
stuff...still looking for a place to move our things but storage yards
are all pretty expensive here.
My partner of the past 18 years, Mike Raven, and I live on a very small income in a 20+year old Motorhome, my son helps us as much as he can, and Mike's daughter has also helped us. Mike is 78 years old, 5 years ago he survived an aortic anuyresm and is still able to work, but can't get insurance as a bus driver anymore, due to an issue with his former employer. I am almost 60 and in poor health with Pernicious Anemia, among other things. However, we are now waiting for a hearing with the State labor board so Mike can get his back pay and fines from his former employer. In the meantime, we have lost our last two horses (family pets) and an extra vehicle( very old minivan), we just couldn't maintain the keep and insurance. So, we haven't been able to pay the storage fees for our two old school buses where we have all of our belongings (from when we HAD a house). This includes Mikes stained glass studio and machine shop. The manager of the storage yard is threatening to put our buses up on a Lien sale VERY soon if we don't at least make some effort to pay them. We owe them $3000.00 If we can make payments through this fund raiser they will stop any sale and we can begin removing our things from the buses and selling some of them. It will be 3 to 6 months before our hearing and then we have to wait to get the money from Mike's employer, we have no idea how much time that will take. We wouldn't be doing this and BEGGING for help if it were not vitally important. Please, I know I have good friends on here, and I also know that most of them have only a little more than we do. Please, if you can't donate, at least share this appeal! Thank you! Trudy and Mike. THE PHOTO ABOVE IS ONE OF MIKE'S STAINED GLASS WORKS.

Receiving donations directly
So,
as of today, January 11, 2018, out of over 900 friends, 25 have
donated, about that many actually shared this too. In the meantime, I'm
sick again with my heart arrythmia acting up, and that's not helping. I
can't continue with all this and feel like giving up, to be honest.
Going to have to have a good think on this and see what more we can
realistically do.
