Some six months ago, I had no knowledge about Betty MacDonald and her works.
But thanks to my friends Linde Lund, Greta Larson & Heiderose Teynor I know about her and her great sense of humor. I am reading The Egg And I.
I feel that perhaps her way to narrate her life as a young wife to support her husband in a chicken farm with much struggle was brilliant in her words.
It is just amazing to see how she used some of this incidents in life with a flawless words blend with great sense of humor.
Honestly, I am enjoying all that. And I do not believe to read quick. I prefer to read every single thing slowly but well, so that I can understand well. And right now I am enjoying.
I am much ordinary to say anything about Betty Macdonald and her works. But I can say that every person has a story to tell. But the way she made it is just worthful to read with a new essence of humor. Humor means when we observe everything with a different aspect of life. It's humorous when our heart is joyful. And I believe she was a lively woman. I saw her photos and smiles... And yes I can guess that she loved life with happiness.
I am enjoying reading The Egg And I.
There is one thing that I like about Betty Mac Donald.
She is talking about equality for women, not women empowerment.
I am fascinated how much humor a woman can express in her words.
