BERLIN LIVE Clans in Berlin: Remmo member in court - the accusations are outrageous Valentin Palleit • 6 hours • 2 minutes reading time Clans play no minor role in the capital Berlin. Last year alone, the police were able to attribute over 1,000 crimes to these criminal groups - and the trend is rising sharply. Now a member of the notorious Remmo extended family must answer to the court. He is accused of outrageous crimes. Clans in Berlin: The Remmos again and again Money laundering, theft, burglary - the Remmos are among the best-known examples of the clans in Berlin. The extended family of Arab origin repeatedly draws attention to itself with horrific acts. In a new case, a member must answer to the court. What is behind it? The focus is on last New Year's Eve. Around midnight, an accident occurred in Buckow in which a police officer on an emergency call hit a 15-year-old pedestrian. According to the public prosecutor's office, the pedestrian "suddenly stepped out onto the street in front of the police vehicle." The explosive thing about it: the girl was apparently a member of the Remmos. After the collision, a 20-year-old relative who had witnessed the incident is said to have used brute force: he is said to have ripped open the driver's door of the car and punched the policewoman several times in the head and face. He then tried to pull her out of the car by her protective vest. That is the charge But that's not all. After other officers rushed to help, the 20-year-old is said to have directed his violence against her. The emergency services finally had to use pepper spray, whereupon the man fled. A short time later, however, the police were able to locate the man - apparently with injuries to his hands. To date, he has remained silent on the allegations.
