・Donald Trump: He peddled this excuse
In the United States, the reins are being tightened in the presidential election campaign. Donald Trump wants to be elected US President for the second time in November and prevent Kamala Harris from moving into the White House. Trump's vice president J.D. Vance and Harris' vice president Tim Walz are now competing against each other in a TV debate. But it seems that Donald Trump already has a suitable excuse ready for a possible Vance defeat. Not even a single argument has been exchanged yet.
Donald Trump already has a whining excuse for defeat ready
Donald Trump recently announced that he would not only comment live on the TV debate (all information on the TV broadcast and live stream here) on his Truth Social account. The 78-year-old also seems to be making preparations for a possible Vance defeat. During an interview on "Fox Nation", the streaming service of Trump's in-house broadcaster Fox News, Trump explained in a conversation with his former employee Kellyanne Conway:
"I would like to have two or three more debates; I like them, I enjoyed them. But it's so rigged and so set up. You'll see it tomorrow with JD Vance."
Donald Trump: He peddled this excuse
Even before his own TV duel with Kamala Harris, Trump trumpeted that TV station ABC had secretly passed the questions on to the US Vice President in order to harm him. Trump, of course, did not provide any evidence.
・After the battle of speeches, he claimed victory for himself, although Harris was seen as the winner across media party lines - even on Fox News, Trump did not come off well.
・Finally, the former president justified himself by saying that he had to compete against three people (Harris and the two moderators) and that he had delivered his "best debate performance ever".
He will probably say the same thing after Vance's appearance, regardless of how his vice president actually does. He has already made provisions for that.
