Roger Stone: Trump not being told the truth about Russia investigation

Longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone said he’s detailing the president’s possible removal from office in a new book that he hopes he doesn’t have to publish.
Stone told Vanity Fair he started writing the book, titled “The Fall of Trump,” after seeing how the White House reacted to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

“It’s painfully obvious Mueller will bring charges,” Stone said, predicting Trump will be indicted on “some process-related matter” like obstruction of justice.
“The only people who don’t seem to know it are Ty Cobb, [John] Dowd, and the president,” Stone said, referring to the president’s lawyers.
Stone added that he doesn’t trust some members of Trump’s Cabinet not to turn on the president by invoking the 25th Amendment, a provision in which the commander in chief can be considered unable to serve.
“I hope it’s a book I don’t have to publish,” he said. “I just don’t think Trump is being told the truth about how bad things are.”
